Carlos A. Bracuto
Tai Chi & Chi Kung Instructor

About the instructor
Carlos follows the lineage of the late Chinese Master Liu Pai Lin.  Following his interest in both Taoist philosophy and martial arts, he started his Yang style tai chi and chi kung (qigong) instruction in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he was born.  Then he moved to Southern California to continue his studies and training in tai chi, traditional tai chi sword and broadsword, Taoist meditation and shaolin kung fu.

His professional work is aimed at teaching therapeutic chi kung to low income adults and at-risk youth through special community programs and workshops. He created the “Sit & Do the Tai Chi” method, a series of exercises especially designed for seniors and people with reduced mobility.

Prior to joining Rasa Center, he taught and shared the art of tai chi & chi kung in yoga studios, schools, community programs, professional offices and parks in the Los Angeles area.

Classes
In his tai chi classes, Carlos incorporates a wide range of chi kung exercises to cultivate internal energy and cleanse all the major internal organs, as well as some basic movements to develop physical strength, balance and coordination. The Chinese meditation practices will help you to balance your emotions and calm your mind.

About Chi Kung and Tai Chi

Millions of people around the world practice chi kung (qigong) for its manifold health benefits: the slow, coordinated movements harmonize the human energy system with the natural frequencies of the Earth and the rest of the universe, improving blood and energy circulation, strengthening the immune system, calming the mind and invigorating the internal organs. Breathing and visualization exercises are also incorporated. The student will enjoy learning a wide variety of techniques step-by-step, in a safe, relaxing, non-judgmental environment.
