SUMMARY

 

Rasa's 200 hour teacher training and study course is designed to immerse you in the fundamental and transformational art of teaching yoga.  This course will offer you the practical tools to step into your place as a teacher with knowledge, inspiration, integrity and clarity.  Students will graduate with an understanding of the history and philosophy of classical yoga; fundamental principles for effective teaching all levels and abilities of students; a solid understanding of anatomy and its application to the yoga practice; a comprehensive guide to the subtle energetic body through the lens of Ayurveda and Eastern medicine; as well as a look at the business of being a yoga teacher. 

 

After completing this certified course, Rasa also offers its graduates a channel to explore more focused paths, such as immersions and mentorship programs that will further reveal and develop each individual's authentic expression, passion and skill.  We at Rasa look forward to being part of this life affirming journey. 

 

Dates: 

Spring Session: April 30-May 2, May 14-16, May 28-30, June 11-13

Fall Session: Sep 10-12, Sep 24-26, Oct 8-10, Oct 22-24, Nov 6-7

 

Friday eves (5:30-8:30pm) and full days Saturdays/Sundays (8-5:30pm); last Fall weekend is Sat-Sun only; some days may end half hour earlier, exact times for each weekend provided in application approval package.

 

*Must complete in sequence; attendence is mandatory for all days; should student need to miss any sessions, s/he must obtain prior approval from both co-directors.  If more than 2 days are missed, may impact ability to graduate under this program.

Prerequisites:

        • At least 2+ years of a personal yoga practice, or if less than 2 years, your yoga teacher's personal referral sent to info@rasayogacenter.com
        • Must complete Rasa Teacher Training Application
        • Sign the Rasa Teacher's Ethical Guidelines and Code of Conduct

         

Cost:  $3,000 ($1,500 ea session, paid by April 23rd & Sept 3rd)

          $2,850 ($1,425 early bird, paid by March 30th & August 10th)

          $2,700 upfront early bird, paid by March 30th

              

            Registration fee of $200 must be submitted with application, and is non-refundable

            unless the application is rejected. If it is determined after the training has

            commenced that a student is unable to complete the total training hours for

            whatever reason, the student must forfeit the pro-rated used tuition plus the

            registration fee. A refund of the remaining amount will be issued within 7-10

            business days of the student’s last day.

   2) The Shambhala Guide to Yoga, Georg Feuerstein

   3) The Science of Yoga - the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali in Sanskrit with

       Transliteration in Roman, Translation and Commentary in English, I.K. Taimni

   4) The Key Muscles of Hatha Yoga, by Ray Long

Fall reading -

   5) The Subtle Body: An Encyclopedia of Your Energetic Anatomy, by Cindi Dale

   6) Swasthavritta: The Self-Guiding Wisdom from the Inner Teachings of

       Ayurveda, by James Bailey (provided during training, before segment)

          3 books off this list of student's choice shall be included in required reading

          during the course of the training.

Rasa Center is located in Medford, at the base of the beautiful foothills leading to the Oregon Cascades. We are a short distance from Ashland and Jacksonville. We shuttle to and from Ashland each day for teacher trainings. As such, if you are visiting from out of town, please let us assist you with your travel plans.
